Join the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) and partner organizations for a virtual candidate forum focused on key policy issues affecting Georgians with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and community advocates.
As disabled veteran herself, Nikki Porcher will discuss strategies for removing systemic barriers facing the disability community, including:
- Inclusive Workforce Development: Expanding vocational training, trade apprenticeships, and supportive employment programs that empower Georgians with disabilities to secure meaningful, good-paying jobs.
- Workplace Accessibility and Protection: Modernizing the Department of Labor to ensure workplace safety standards, fair wages, and accessible state services across all 159 counties.
- Removing Barriers to Employment: Partnering with local businesses and advocacy groups to foster inclusive hiring practices and improve accessible transportation and childcare options for working families.
